Grind Box, Rails, and Ledges
A grind box is a designed obstacle, typically a flat, rectangular platform with a raised edge, that skaters use to perform grind tricks by sliding the trucks of their skateboard along the edge while balancing on top of the box.
A grind rail is a horizontal metal bar, usually raised off the ground, that skaters use to perform grind tricks by sliding the underside of their skateboard along it. A designated obstacle designed for grinding and sliding maneuvers.
A ledge is a flat, elongated platform with a raised edge that skaters use to perform grind tricks by sliding their skateboard's wheels along the edge. A raised curb-like obstacle designed for grinding maneuvers. It's a common feature in street-style skateboarding.
